SYNOPSIS
Artist painter, Flore has been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for several years. She was successively 'locked up' in two specialized institutions. The treatments had rendered her aphasic, mute; she could no longer walk, eat, or smile. She became increasingly violent, aggressive, 'unmanageable.' For the doctors, the only perspective was placement in a 'secure' house. Against general advice, her son, Jean-Albert Lièvre, and her daughter, Véronique, decide to set her up in the family home in Corsica, surrounded by an atypical team. There, step by step, month after month, for a year, she will literally come back to life. In the account of an unexpected rebirth, we discover that the terrible disease of Alzheimer’s cannot be cured. But one can try to live with it.
